YES THIS. I see no OOC here, I see an interpretation of Stef growing up and asserting that he's in a partnership. Which Vanyel doesn't know what to do with, because when has he been in a healthy long term relationship? Oh right, pretty much never. (I love me some sweet young Vanyel/Tylendel schmoop, but their relationship had some serious issues with healthy give and take. My feels, let me show you them.)
