I really love how caring Stef is throughout this ;_; I don't think it's OOC that he'd be a bit more assertive about not letting Van mope? Hyrryl told him to talk to Van about the mess in his head. Plus, he's right, look what the bottling-up led to.
Random: I'm now bitterly regretting that I forgot to prompt some post-canon Stef + Kyree; I love the idea of Stef just like wandering nonchalantly around Valdemar with an escort of his kyree buddies, and for the lulz planting fake rumours that he's a Changewolf. Oh well ;___;
