A!A Goodness thank you! I'M WINNING AMAZING COMMENT LOTTERY TODAY. I think when I started writing it I was planning on just focusing on the main three, but the more I planned it out the more I felt that it would of course spill over into the people around them—and if I'm representing the theme I want to, they have to be included too. A lot of early Magic's Pawn seems to happen in this little bubble that Vanyel and 'Lendel create for themselves, so I felt that as soon as you dropped one intrusion in there then of course the rest of the world is going to be rushing in, which is really important for Vanyel to learn to deal with (and in the books, kind of doesn't until it's forced on him).
