Valdemar Discussion Post!

This is the official Dead Vanyel Party discussion post!

Whether it's your first read or your millionth, there's always something worth talking about--and rambling at length about at that. Confide in your fellow Lackey fans--who's your fave? What books do you eat up with a spoon? Does Vanyel end up as a gay Companion after the Mage Storms books? Or is he reborn as the very subtle baby herald "Vanel"? If so, does that make Stef his life-bonded companion "Tylenol", or what? And is Ma'ar REALLY dead? (No!)

Life's little questions, and we all want to talk about them.

Anon and unanon are currently allowed on this post. As of August 9, only anon posting will be allowed, in order to foster an anonny sense of anonymousness, in the vein of everyone's favorite meme ;P. The exception to the anon-only rule is the Introduction Thread, where you can introduce yourself and meet fellow players.

If you're looking for "Research Materials", join the comm and visit this post. (Subtle, right?)

I've copied all the ones I really like to my writing program and am taking notes until something really bites... I'm trying to get into the Krebain prompt (sans murderbot), and I have an idea how to structure a fill, but it's just notes for now. Really hope someone picks up the Stef torture prompt because I can't figure out how to do it. Actually every h/c prompt, please guys, I need this shit.

I also copy/pasted into a google docs page. I've started on two, but one's going a lot better than the other.

I'm eyeballing a lot of these. Some of them are positively inspired. And if the prompted of Vanyel/Blankets didn't want Vanyel trying to fuck a quilt, well...they should have used an ampersand.

(I don't have TIME to reread the Winds series! And yet... *studying prompt very, very seriously*)

DA

I knoww, I'm currently about halfway through the second Winds book and am hoping to be able to finish in time to A) take a crack at the Nyara prompt and B) also reread Brightly Burning in time to leave a Lavan prompt or three.

A third person with prompts saved in a document... I'm about halfway or a third of the way done with one fill (the starvation H/C one -- though I'd love if someone else wanted to fill that one too because it's an amazing prompt).

I keep running across prompts that are so specifically tailored to my wants & needs, I keep forgetting which ones I prompted and which are from other people xD

Update: getting serious about this Krebain prompt. It would take a lot of time to do this prompt justice in full, but I'll at least have something to post by Sunday.

Ahh I'm so excited about this, nonny! I'm so torn between A) reassuring you that you can take your time if you want and B) urging you to hurry so I can read it faster -_-
